Our Wedding

Like all good love stories, ours has two versions - depending on who you ask. According to Nitzan, they first met at a club while celebrating a mutual friend’s birthday. Jessica, however, is convinced this never happened. Romantic, right? Jessica swears the real story began a week later at another party, where Nitzan was in the middle of an intense beer pong game. Curious, she asked where he was from. When he replied, “Cleveland,” Jessica couldn’t believe it, and the two of them spent the rest of the night talking. That night quickly became the start of something special, and we’ve counted it as our anniversary ever since. Nitzan's version of that event, is that he only came to the party to see if Jessica was there (and single). He planned on only staying for an hour, but one poorly thrown "celebrity shot" in beer pong led to them hanging out all night. He also very chivalrously went looking for (and found) an earring she lost while they were hanging out. Fast forward nearly three years to a cold but sunny March afternoon in London. Jessica was on a family trip when Nitzan surprised her in a park. In true fairytale fashion, he got down on one knee, pulled the ring out (upside down), and asked her to marry him. She said yes - and here we are, ready to celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of you!

Due to the many circumstances we are moving the location of the wedding to accommodate more people to celebrate with us! The new location is at the Synagogue, Temple Emanuel, located a few minutes away from Pinecrest. We will provide more information about other activities we have planned over the weekend! We cannot wait to celebrate with you!

There are many places to hike out in nature in this area. The small town this winery is located in is home to many other wineries as well. The owner specifically likes to grow grapes that are not known in this part of the world. He also used to be a big movie producer back in the day. He is a bit of a grouch but his wife is absolutely lovely and has never forgotten Jessica over the years. <a href="https://castel.co.il/en/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Castel du domaine</a> - A gorgeous winery over-looking the Judean hills. We love their white and rose wines and always have a bottle handy in the house (the Petit Castle is a great red too). <a href="https://www.tzoravineyards.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Tzora</a> - Also located by the Judean hills, they are a very small boutique winery. They are known for mixing of two grapes and making some really tasty and interesting wines. Other places to visit: The Kinneret - Israels fresh water lake thats filled by the Jordan river. Similar to a beach town but with multiple small neighbourhoods surrounding the water. The most popular city in the area is Tibberias. Eilat - The most southern part of Israel and bordered by Jordan and Egypt. About 4 hours from Tel aviv or a short 40 minute plane ride. If you are looking to go to a trip to Jordan/ Petra this would be the crossing you would be going through. Mitzpe Rimon - Going through the Israeli desert is a very cool experience. There are tons of places to stay in this areas as well as homes some of Israel's fanciest hotel chains. Not so far from Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea - its a great place to visit and see amazing sights, with some great hikes in the area as well. <a href="https://www.ein-hod.org/en/homepage/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Ein Hod</a> - Not far from Amphorae. If you want to do a few things together in a day. This is an artist village that has many generations living there. If you are looking for some local non touristy souvenirs this is the place to go. Carmel Mountains - Located near Zichron Yakkov and Haifa, this area is filled with hiking trails and pita druzie stops along the way. The national parks are a great place to connect with nature and also see the beach and sea at a distance. <a href="https://en.parks.org.il/reserve-park/masada-national-park/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Masada </a>- If you plan to visit the desert or the dead sea you should definitely check out Masada on the way. A fortress built by King Herod filled with history and a tale like no other. You can either hike up and down the mountain or they do have a cable car to bring you both up and down. Either way bring a lot of water and pack comfy shoes as there's a lot of steep walking involved, but the view is amazing (We think the place is overrated - but most tourists end up there).

Casual Food places: Sarona Market - An old german colony that is the largest enclosed culinary markets, now hosting about 90 retail and food joints. If you cant decide on one thing then this is the place to visit. Mifgash Rambam - By Shuk ha' carmel, great for shwarma and just overall good atmosphere. Hakosem - By King George, they serve falafel and shwarma. Benz - A burger place with two locations. They mainly have burgers and salads. We both love their chicken salad. Vitrina - Famous for their fries with lemon zest, a great burger place. Usually they have a long line so be prepared. Holstein - known for their burnt butter garlic brioche bun. We also recommend their fried chicken sandwich. Brooklyn - decent pizza place you can go for a slice, there are three locations in Tel Aviv. They also have an amazing frozen margarita. You can also check out the App Wolt (Israel's Uber Eats). You can choose either to deliver the food or order pick up through the app and its available in english. Sit-down restaurants: If you're looking to reserve a table at a restaurant, you can usually do it directly through their website or check out <a href="https://ontopo.com/en/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">ontopo</a> which is a local reservation app/website also available in english! <a href="https://abie.haachim.co.il/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Abie</a> - a grill based fish place, we recommend ordering the smoked fried potatoes. Make a reservation as they're normally fully booked at least a week in advance! They have two other restaurants of a similar style with local ingredients called Ha'achim (the brothers) and Dok. <a href="https://sunyoung.co.il/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Sun Young</a> - Located inside a boutique hotel, they are known for their raw fish dishes. Upscale asian style restaurant. we highly recommend the tuna squares, normally we order at least 3 for the table! <a href="https://www.mashya.co.il/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Mashya</a> - Also located in a hotel and not to far from the beach. This is a high end restaurant where you can choose to order on your own or the waiter will order for you depending on what you like to eat. <a href="https://brixwinebar.co.il/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Brix</a> - Small wine bar with an amazing selections of wines. They have good snacking food and are a fun chill vibe to sit, eat and drink. <a href="https://ontopo.com/en/il/page/22998030" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Jonz</a> - An upscale wine and cocktail bar with very decent Neoploitan style pizza. They play jazz and R&amp;B and stay open pretty late. On Friday mornings they offer brunch with a completely different menu for both food and drinks. <a href="https://en.whiskeybm.co.il/whiskey-english" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Whiskey Bar and Museum</a> - An underground cellar/ mosad headquarters transformed into a bar and restaurant. There walls are lined with whiskies from all over the world. Also can be found in the Sarona market complex. <a href="https://www.thai148.co.il/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Thai 148</a> - Serving Thai food with Mediterranean attributes. We recommend their Pad Thai which is served wrapped in an omelet. Before being a Thai restaurant this is the same location where Nitzan worked as a bar manager for a few years. There are so many restaurants to eat along the way - too many to list. The city is filled with all types of cuisines you truly cant go wrong.
